City Limits Magazine

City Limits employs the power of investigative journalism to explore public policy, and the tools of new media to uncover aspects of New York that undermine the quality of life of New York citizens. The magazine is of particular interest to us because they run one long form piece of journailism in each issue, and use photography and supporting infographics and sidebars to further delve into the feature story.

We were hired by City Limits to do a comlete rebrand and redesign of the magazine and identity. By giving City Limits a strong graphic identity and devising a simple and easy to read layout we were able to raise awareness and recognition of the brand and its renewed mission.

This issue critiques the Harlem Childrens zone and its well-heeled leader, Geoffrey Canada. It is also is the first issue of the magazines' 34th volume, and is available on newsstands in subways stations and on the street throughout the city of New York, and via subscription.
